what are the chances of me getting into laguardia hs?
I really really really want to get into this specialized HS in NY (LaGuardia High School) and I just want to know, are they really competitive? and if they usually pick a lot of people . I’m really nervous for the auditions and I’m auditioning for dance and vocal. Does anyone have any ideas to what songs I can dance to also?

Yes, it’s really competitive.
Yes, it’s really hard to get in.
They do take quite a few students, but so very many students apply that they end up taking only about 10 percent of applicants.
But just do your best and maybe you will be one of the talented few who DO get in. My daughter is also applying to this school, in the Visual Art program. I have no idea if she will get in either, but she’s trying her best!
So do your best, but don’t count on it completely. Fill out the other list of schools with the other schools you’d like to go to. Chances are, you will probably end up at one of those instead, so really think about what to put on that other list!
But who knows? Maybe both you AND my daughter will end up at Laguardia! You never know.
