My fiance and I are considering scrapping the Caribbean honeymoon idea and just spending a few days in NYC. We live in upstate, NY so we would either take a train or depending on cost, maybe hire a limo service to bring us to the city and back. I actually grew up in Queens though I am ashamed to say that I wouldnt even know where to begin with planning a NYC honeymoon. If this were your honeymoon, what would you do/see for a 3 day/2 night mid week honeymoon to NYC?

Some side info: I love theatre and shopping. My fiance is computer and electronic obsessed and HATES sports. We both loveeee food.

I’ll be in NY for a week, I’ll land in JFK airport and my hotel in in lower east side. I would like to use mainly the subway.
I know about bus service, but I would prefer enter NYC from the undreground (subway) or by train.

I will take the A train to hawrd beach,JFK airport,I wanna get to building 14 JFK,do I ihave to take the airtrain or is there any free bus or something

My fiancée and I are getting married August 21, 2010. We want to go on a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon which leaves from New York City August 23, 2010. We’re both from Massachusetts and have never been to NYC. While we both agree it would be nice to spend the night extra night in the city we are unsure if we should just drive into the city, or fly from Albany Int Airport to JFK/Newark/LaGuardia and then take a taxi, or take the train, or rent a limo? Driving would be the least expensive but like I said we have never drove in NYC. My fiancée has never driven in any big city, and I have driven in Toronto, Chicago, and Boston.

Any suggestions??

Is their any way i can get to JFK airport by train from Allentown, PA or other new Jersey stations inexpensively?

I booked my flight to the wrong airport. Instead of Laguardia I booked myself landing at JFK and need to get to the Mariott Marquis on Broadway.. What is the cheapest way of transportation to get there? is there a train? I know by cab would be far to expensive. I don’t know my way around NY very much and pregneant on top of it. I get really nervous not knowing where I am going. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I leave tomorrow, for NYC and then on to CT. I originally thought I was going to use the A-train, subway, and Metro-North Railroad to get to CT, but after studying this route, I’m not sure this is wise with luggage (small bag). Can anyone suggest a tried and true transport/limo/bus service? Thanks!
