What are some good reasons to drive to prom instead of getting a limo?

Hey everybody! I’m back on Y!A. Those of you who have seen my old questions see that I used to be kind of depressed. Well things are getting better for me!

Anyways, my prom date wants to get a limo and I want to drive my parents’ car to prom. Now this girl is great and everything don’t get me wrong, but she is also very hard to convince of things, as are most girls (not all of them). What should I tell her in order to convince her?
Jokidd- she doesnt care if there expensive, she said we could just get a group then to help pay if we need it. last year at junior prom our limo driver was the nicest guy in the world and she knows my grandad who is also a limo driver who is awesome. AND she hates my music. lol. but i do appreciate u answering.

spaghettieater- what the hell are you talking about?

Josh- we dont have proms at our school. we have it at a different place every year. this year its at a private country club. the seniors last year were lucky though and had their’s at an aquarium.
oh and also Josh, a lot of people get limos so that wont convince her.

Larcy- now i dont want a limo at all but i dont agree with you. first, prom is more than just a dance, its an experience that seniors love to have and i know many people who thought just like you and now regret not going. and second, she doesnt want to ride a limo to feel special, we just had a ton of fun in ours last year because it had sick stuff in it. i just didnt want to pay for one this year.
linddssツ – what the hell? quit calling me cheap because im trying to be smart in my spending for prom. the amount of fun u have should not depend on the amount of money u spend.

Good limo services for a trip to NYC?

Hiya! My birthday is coming up soon, and I’m going to have a fun par-tay. I want to take me and my friends to the city, in a limo, and it’s going to drive us around to a few places, then dinner, then back to my house. My parents are going to be paying for it, so it has to be somewhat affordable.
Now, since it’s my 13th birthday, they’ll pay for it, but it has to be around the 0-0 range, including tip and tax (if there is any). I live in north NJ, (Bergen County), so whether or not there’s a sales tax, i don’t know. Also, we’d be going on a weekday, because I noticed a few places that had specials for weekdays. I found two limos that I like, Chrysler 300 and Lincoln 8 passenger stretch, so help me get a good limo service!

i live in a somewhat small town and need a limo for prom?

im going to get at least 3/4 couples to come with me so i wanted to get a limo… but there arent any limo places in town. I live in a town called lock haven, and its about 30 minutes away from penn state university and was wondering if i could get a limo from there? and any suggestions for prom would be awesome! any kind of limo that is cool? i want to impress my friends but im not like super rich or anything so i dont want it to cost a fortune, according to my parents =). Is it possible to get a limo from another town thats about 30minutes away?

unique PROM/transportation/taxi/limo??

I saw something on the news about a year ago…it was a taxi company that made really cool cabs to take to prom. It had music and lights and other really flashy stuff…does anyone know what I’m talking about or the name of the company? A website would be helpful. I really need transportation to prom but it looks like my limo plans are falling through. Does anyone know of an alternative to a limo besides having your parents drive?

is it just me or would you feel this way too?

Okay, so my 16th birthday is coming up this November and i really wanted to do something for my birthday (either have a Sweet 16 or have a group of friends go in a stretch limo, go to dinner in the city, see the Radio City Music Spectacular and go see the tree and possibly ice skate in the rink in Rockafeller Center in NYC.) But my parents told me i cant do either. My sister also got a brand new car when she turned 16 and my parents told me i cant get a car at all. Is it wrong for me too feel like they are treating her better and then me? Is what they’re doing right or wrong in your view?
* i meant to say my parents spent hundreds of dollars on my sisters sweet 16, yet i cant do anything* along with her getting a brand new car, and me nothing
i dont get in trouble, i get good grades, i dont smoke/drugs/alcohol, i hang out with good people, im not disrespectful, i play sports.
also they recently told me i might have to go to community college becase they’re paying so much for my sisters education

Going to Junior Prom as a freshman?

So theres this guy in 11th grade im friends with from theater. He was going to prom (friday) with like the most popular girl in the school but her grandmother died so she had to go to new york this week. All his friends had dates so he asked me. Im a freshman. What do you think about this? He asked my parents first and they said it was fine. Hes really hot but what do you think about this? Hes 2 years older than me. What do you think? Is he just taking advantage of me or is he being a good friend? Also, the plans are (if i go with him): He will pick me up in a limo and well meet some friends for dinner. Well go to the prom and after, go to the afterparty at the Hilton till we feel like going home. Does this sound fun?
