I am traveling to New York City in the beginning of October – I have never been before so I’d like some tips or suggestions.. I have no idea what to expect or even where to stay. I will be flying into JFK airport and am still looking for a hotel.. I will most likely be staying in marriott hotel so if u know of a great area to stay with a marriott location that would be most helpful. Also, I am interested in maybe seeing a show – any suggestions of where and what the cost may be? I am only planning on being in new york for 3 days so yes, a very short trip..

also, how does transportation work? I’ve heard it is not wise to rent a car so ill probably be taking public transportation or walking… any advice on this would also be appreciated… I am on a budget so any affordable/cheap activities etc is great!

im having a birthday party this saturday and im going to the city in a limo and then seeing a comedy club show, but the only problem is dinner. The restauranat i really wanted to go to only has reservations for 10:45, do you think thats too late for a bunch of 16 year olds?

My fiancée and I are getting married August 21, 2010. We want to go on a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon which leaves from New York City August 23, 2010. We’re both from Massachusetts and have never been to NYC. While we both agree it would be nice to spend the night extra night in the city we are unsure if we should just drive into the city, or fly from Albany Int Airport to JFK/Newark/LaGuardia and then take a taxi, or take the train, or rent a limo? Driving would be the least expensive but like I said we have never drove in NYC. My fiancée has never driven in any big city, and I have driven in Toronto, Chicago, and Boston.

Any suggestions??

Latley I have been having many dreams about becoming famous here are a few…

I went to Hollywood, California to audition for a roll in a new disney channel series. I sang and acted. I got a call the next day saying I got the part of Summer (main character in show) and I was so happy. I made lots of shows and was the best dressed actress ever and best role model ever.

I was sitting on a HUGE pile of money. I was holding huge bags of money and it was raining money. I was wearing expensive clothes and diamonds. I looked very happy.

I was chosen as the main character in a show. I came back to where I live new york city and has cute and expensive clothes and a limo!!! I was escorted to school by my chauffer and I invited some friends inand we were having a blast. I became very popular. I had 6 body guards and treated special by my teachers.

I was a model in a chanel rumway show. I was strutting my stuff on stage and became one of the best models ever alive.

Please tell me what they mean!

Ok I’m 17 and my boyfriend said we were going to a movie but to dress up really nice. He came to get me at like 5:30 and I thought that was kinda strange for a movie on a saturday night. But i didn;t ask questions. Well anyways we were drviing on the highway and he said he changed his mind about what we were gonna to tonight. I asked what and he said you’ll see. I went along with it. So we were driving and I looked around and we were out in the middle of nowhere. I didnt know what to think but we turned the corner and there was a plane! He said suprise and that he’d chartered a jet just for us. We got on and it was huge. It was just like a flying house! I asked him where were going he said you’ll see. So we get on board and we went to the back and there I see a hot tub, and a big bed all covered with rose petals. And one of those fake fireplaces with all the other lights out. Well we "enjoyed" that until we started landing. So we step outside the plane and there’s a limo there to pick us up! We were in New York CIty! Then he took me to Micheal’s for dinner which was great and then a broadway play. We spent the night there in an amazing fancy hotel. I was just so happy and in such a romantic mood and lol I let him know at the hotel if you know what I mean. Anyways we flew back to North Carolina the next morning. I’m just wondering if anyone else thinks that was extremly romantic.
And he’s not really rich. He just made some wise investments when he was like 11 lol I know its weird but it’s true. He’s 17 as well.

my 16th is 4 weeks away, not enough time to plan a big sweet 16. i have about 20 people i MUST invite. i want to do something nice so we can all dress up but something not too expensive.

i was thinking taking a limo into the city for the night (new york city) and go to a restaurant there and hang out for a few hours driving around. does anyone know ABOUT how much a limo for 15 or 20 people would cost? do you have any other ideas?
