I’ve heard a story from a former American Airlines mechanic, who worked at LaGuardia, that an old locomotive was buried, as part of a landfill / dump, beneath one of the airport’s runways. Apparently this locomotive, due to its size and the amount of iron, could cause interference with compass headings.

Laguardia is pretty much the best performing arts school, but i never hear of people who have gone to laguardia and become very famous and get record deals or star in many movies. i know that alicia keys went to ppas, but that’s pretty much the only person i’ve heard of; and she didnt even go to laguardia. so do people who go to laguardia have much success?
And how much should I tip? Basically, i’m trying to figure out how much i’d have to pay total on a limo that will cost 0 for the night.
Is there a shuttle service at the airport? What can I expect to pay for a cab to Queens? Thanks!

I will be traveling during Memorial weekend and flying into JFK airport. I need to get to the Sheraton hotel in Times Square and am looking for an easy and cheap way to get there from the airport…I will have a carry on and large suitcase. Any ideas?
